Nick Johns is a Sydney based singer/songwriter who’s been singing with bands on and off since his high school days. It wasn’t until a work accident left him housebound to recover, that he decided to teach himself to play guitar to a standard where he could perform at venues in and around the Sydney area. Since then Nick has performed covers and original songs to many an audience, earning a certain respect from punters and fellow musicians alike. Over the past few years he has taken to writing, and many a song has been penned, with some having a rock influenced edge and some having a blues, sometimes even country feel to them. The album Transition is pretty much what its title says, a transitional stage of Nicks life, from not so good, to good, to better. These days Nick enjoys writing, recording, producing and performing, musical fulfillment you could say. The only thing left to achieve for him is to create a broader audience, and with the help of websites and digital music, this is becoming a reality.
