He swept his audience when he closed the show with his single, “S’wet.” ESPN recognizes him as the 2010 voice of the National Anthem. Soon after, ESPN teamed up with the Chicago White Sox and Troy D to deliver a power, soulful, live National Anthem for 25,000 fans. Just months later, he took the stage again and was crowned the 2010 Chicago Road to Fame champion, an idol-like competition where singers compete for cash and recording prizes.
